Wheel-throwing for beginners

All classes are tailored toward beginners with no previous experience, however if you have throwing experience I can run you through a refresher and you can progress at your own faster pace.

During the term students will learn to prepare the clay for the wheel, throw simple forms, trim and then finally glaze them. You will have your own hand made creations to take home at the end of term which may include cups, bowls and vases.

White stoneware clay and use of studio pottery tools are included, and there is a firing allowance of up to 2.5kg. Additional firing over allowance is charged at $18 per kg. Students just need to bring an apron and/or an old towel.

Classes are for students over the age of 16 years.

Note: Current students have priority access to book classes in the following term.
